C220CDI Manual Gearbox Problems

Having problems with Manual box 6 speed on 2001 C220CDI Coupe. Box replaced under warranty at 2K miles, replacement box also has very poor gearchange between 1 & 2 up or down very obstructive, sometimes doesn't go at all!! - Anyone else having similar problems??

What is a C220CDI? I see its a coupe so it must be like the C230K? What is CDI? Just curious.

Hi, i have a 220 CDI coupe too, and have the similar problem on mine too, the 1º and 2º gear a though to enter, i took it to my local dealer and they said that´s probably an afination in the lever of the gear box, but i must leave the car there for they inspect better and solve the problem...

I think CDI stands for Common Rail Direct Injection. The 220CDI is a Diesel engine of 2148 cc displacement giving 143 hp and 318 232 ft-lbs of torque. This info is from the MBUK web site.
