The dealer screwed up my c230.

Just got the car back today from my MB dealer. It was in for a Leaky Head gasket. So after a week of being in the shop i finally get my car. Now the problem is i have NO 1st Gear.

I can't get my car in to 1st. I don't know what they did but i am having problems even shifting to 2nd and 3rd gear. I am kind of pi$$ed because my 6spd was really smooth, but now it is clunky peace of crap.

I noticed the problem driving out of the dealer that i had to force the 1st gear. After driving around for a while i couldn't get it in to 1st at all. Phoned the dealer right way. Taking the car in again. What a pi$$ off..

I've done 2 head gaskets on C230 coupes, and there is nothing about the procedure related to the transmission. It's probably coincidence.

ok mabye this is it... since u live in canada and i live in NY it is safe to say that they are cold climates... now i know when i bring my car to the dealter they usually have it for a few days. Now i have an automatic but when i pick my car up from the dealer after it has been sitting out in the freezing cold weather the transmission is very rough shifting. The reason why i bring this up... my dad has a 2002 porsche 911 manual or somehting like that... i went to pick the car up from the dealer... it had been sitting in therelot for 4 days or something.. the ****eer wouldnt shift into 2nd.... it took a lot of warming up.. like 2 hours of constant driving for it to go in smoothly. however if u had ur car out in the cold weather for a while at the dealer and u live like 10 min away like i do.... if u like just came home and wrote this and havent gone out and warmed up ur transmission this mightbe ur problem...

i figure this might be it lol
it would be atleast sweet for u if that was it... lemme know what u thnk about this
