Imagine how fast the STI could be in the hads of a tunner? Upgraded turbo, down pipe, chip, the list can go on and on. And u will be garanteed to run 12's (at least).

BTW all of the 350Z's i saw today looked very nice... even though they resemble porsche's... Porsche wannabes??? LOL... i'd still get it if i didn't have to give up my C-coupe... very nice car but a little too unpractical for me...
This is exactly the reason that I wouldn't trade. I work in twin office towers (That I designed - thank you), and there must be some 450 cars there. There are no fewer than 5 Z's, but only one C230.... Mine. I like it that way.

C230 Sport Coup + 2006 W164 ML350 + 99 Ford Escort (What the heck, it gets 38 mpg!)
Hey a Z is a pure sports car.
No comparison to a car like the C coupe. with 5 ft of storage capacity.

The Z falls into the same catagory as the S2000 etc.

So if you wanted a sports car, why did you even buy the C class in the first place?

I paid 33K out the door.

Personally the Infinity G35 coupe looks better to me, but haven't found a dealer with one to drive.

I would only say go for it if you are trading for a G35 coupe instead of the Z. The G35/Skyline coupe will get you to places with more style and class...

Audi S4
My instructor at a track day had a 350Z, it is ALOT of performance for the money. This car was bone stock and was keeping pace with this very nice NSX. That said, it is nearly completely impractical. Its a 2-seater and the storage space is pretty skimpy.

If the 350Z is going to be your second car then go for it, but if its your only car then I'd say keep the C.

It really depends on what you're using the car for.... if it's a everyday driver and it's a long trip with plenty of traffic, get the C-coupe....

the 350z is more of a weekend car and it's very fun to drive.... i'm not sure you want the base model... i don't think it has traction or stability control.... plus i've read reviews about how 1st and 2nd gear are kind of finicky..

if this is your weekend car get the 350Z.... if not then get a C230 coupe.... you could always wait and save up some money for a G35 coupe.... that's a nice ride...

Z is a great GT.

G35C or Z, both are great cars. I will take G35C over C-coupe for sure.

this is tough choice lol

i personally do not like the styling of the c230 coupe what so ever

and i absolutely hate the styling of the 350 Z

g35 coupe seems decent, but its just a rebadged nissan and Z

why dont you consider a 325ci with little options

i know i know you not trading anything in, but im just say hypothetically

actually one of my friends was considering a nice coupe around low 30s

he said he wanted a g35 or a Z.

i asked him if he consider a 3 series as well. he said sure.

well we check out all the cars and it was no brainer, he is now lookin at a 325ci. all the nissan has is hp and thats it

and the handling & performance that tops the 330Ci. The interior might be better, but that's what you get for paying a little less.

G35 is not JUST a rebadged Nissan. It's a rebadged NISSAN SKYLINE as well...

well, the G35/Skyline is the top sports car model from Nissan. It should perform better than most other car.

The M3 still performs better than the G35/Skyline tho, but for twice as much $$. Just like the C32 cost twice as much as the new EVO 8 that performs the same if not better on the track.

You have to consider the fact the 350Z is a pure sports car while the 330Ci is a luxury sports coupe. All of the 350Z budget was spent on performance, not necessarily luxury, safety equipment, & interior materials. Pretty much every car company can build great sports cars if they wanted to but many aren't sure there's enough demand to justify production. The Z06, even though it's an American car, would own just about any German or Japanese car anywhere remotely near its price ($50 K).

BMW is known for handling & performance, & the 3, 5, & 7 Series are all pretty much considered tops in their class for all-around performance (performance as in acceleration, handling, & braking).
