I am referring to the driver side foot rest that is right behind the brake pedal.

Does your c230 has this metal plate like the rest of the pedals? I don't have it but just carpet. I don't like stepping my foot there, cuz i don't want stains or dirt to develope in that area. The carpet mat doesn't seem to cover this area like the c32 mat does.

So what are you take in either covering this area or installing a metal plate there?

Eh. I wouldn't worry much about it. I don't have a 230, but I have no metal plate. The c32 matt should fit though?

I got a footrest that was designed for a BMW; had to Dremel it a bit on the NE corner to get it to fit properly, but it was easy. Then just drill holes and screw down. There's nothing to worry about as far as screwing into that area, btw.

I want a foot rest pedal because that piece of the carpet gets abused.

Yea, I second that. Especially when one drives aggressive, the other resting foot seem to fit there nicely to get something to push from on the intensity of the other foot pushing hard on the gas pedal.

So yea, it does get abuse, but i am afraid the carpet there would get rubbed out. It does not feel comfortable without that foot rest.

So what to do? what to do?

Oh yea, the c32 mats covers that, but it also has another piece that goes into the gas pedal. i think they have a difference design on the gas pedal. So c32 mat might not work in our models.

they sell full pedal sets on ebay that will come with a foot rest.

there are a few venders who sell dead pedals, in fact one that even matches the OEM sport metal pedals, Ill find the link....
