Official Long tube Header release **pics and Dyno**
Ok here we go...
With most of your time devoted to the AMG's. MBH/Dyno-Comp (maker of the most long tube headers for Mercedes-Benz AMG) is happy to expand the long tube header market for an other Mercedes-Benz. Its with great pleasure to announce the release of the C230 coupe long tube header.
Using the same design, development, and construction as all of our other Dyno-Comp MBH long tube headers, these C230 headers are the REAL Deal. They are hand-crafted with the same ingenuity and philosophy as the rest of our world renowned Dyno-Comp/MBH AMG header collection. All of our Dyno-Comp headers are MADE IN THE USA with American steel with the same hands which make all of our Dyno-Comp AMG-63 and AMG-55 headers.
The horsepower gains are HUGE over the stock “log” manifolds.
The Dyno-Comp/MBH C230 Kompressor Long Tube headers are guaranteed to make a minimum of a 25-30 wheel horsepower gains…ALONE!
When used in conjunction with RENNtech Stage-1 software ECU and Pulley upgrade for your C230 Kompressor, Dyno-Comp realize a 50 to 60 Wheel HP increase.
Key Features:
• “True” sequential firing order design
• 1-5/8 inch 304 stainless steel primary pipes
• 304 ½” thick stainless steel flanges
• One piece 304 stainless “mono-flange” design ensures a positive
exhaust manifold seal
• Retains primary catylitic converter, as to meet ALL emissions
requirement.
• TIG welded, with full back purge, and built by hand by our master
fabricator with the same craftsmanship and quality of materials that
are applied to INDY car headers.

They are for the C230 Kompressor coupe... What ever motor number that car has... If there is an interest in any other model that we don't offer we can make it.

the coupe came with both the 2.3l m111 and later the 1.8l m271 (just like the sedan). so thats why we would like to know what engine. also, if this is specific to only the coupe and not the sedan (not sure why it would), that would really limit potential customers since not nearly as many coupes are out there.

MBH, I need you to dial in here. This is for what motor? M111, M271?! Am I to understand that these are being made in house? By a "master fabricator?"
Horsepower claims are going through the roof, though I'd love them to be true.
Name a application and a price, enough with promises.
Previously, I saw a tuner claim to manufacture a header, only to find they were made generic in Germany. Is this a unique design or distributed product?
You come through with 30 horsepower, I'm your biggest fan.

I'm sure we'd all appreciate confirmation on...
- Unique Design designed/fabricated in-house or 'generic ' distribution ?
- Specific engine applications (M111, M271, etc)?
- Price?

Out Of Control!!
Seeing as how the car has a Renntech Stage 1 ECU mod and SC pulley, my guess would be the M111.
Hooleyboy - is the only difference between the results the header? The first dyno says nothing about the pulley being on or not; obviously, if the pulley was added between runs, then that would eat up much of the gains.
I'm having a hard time with the gains (or "grains"
); my Supersprint added virtually no gains on the finely calibrated buttdyno.
A price would be a good piece of info as well.

It has to be the M111... For it to be for the M271, the primary cat is a lot closer to the heads, and would need to be cut off and welded in to these headers, which would also require some modification to the exhaust after the cat. Plus, I doubt we could get 30hp from headers on the 1.8, but it would be awesome! Some nice long tube headers giving 30hp at the low end on the 1.8 could mean I can start off in 2nd and save the annoying 1-2 shift before my back wheels even enter the intersection!

Chrysler Crossfire
The tough thing is that each chassis is completely different in header design. So while you can get the W203 headers to work, the R170/Crossfire stuff won't.
Fabulous headers by the way. Those are some of the best hand welds I've seen.
