Interior lighting...

You know that light that comes on when you drop down the flap to check your hair in the little mirror (on driver and passenger side)? All this time I thought it was the bulb that went out because the light wouldn't come on but I took off my rear license plate light out and tried it in the mirror light and didn't work. Is this thing fixable or do I have to take it the dealer and waste a whoile day while they re-wire everything?

make sure the visor is set in correctly. the metal part must align correctly with the metal stubs the hold it in place.
