Need Power stearing Oil Change DIY
Would like to do some preventative maintenance on my power stearing, does any have a DIY on this subject. Can you help with the following:
How or should you drain the oil?
What type of oil does MB recommend?
Is there a drain plug or do you suck it out?
Do's and Don'ts?
What is the proceedure?
Any special tools needed?
Your help is appreciated.

I would be concerned with letting the air in to the Power Steering system. If I were you, I would siphon out the old fluid from the PS reservoir (with a turkey baster) and fill it back with new fluid. This should take about 10 minutes. Do this 2 or 3 times within the interval of 2 or 3 months (depending on how much you drive the car), that should be good.
MB Power Steering fluid is recommended. I recently bought 1L container for $11.
