Smart Battery Charger
Hi:
I saw on the MotorWeek show long time ago where Pat Goss showed a battery
charger/maintainer that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Once you do this, the battery can be removed/disconnected and the charger will maintain electricity so the computer will not reset.
I assume not all cigarette lighter charger can do this. Anybody knows which
battery charger Mr Goss is referring to? It's been a while and I can't remember
it anymore. I need to disconnect my battery for a day or so to clean up battery acid leak near the battery area.
Thanks,
Jim

Charging and maintaining current though the cigarette lighter won't work in a w203 simply because they are shut off when the ignition is turned off.
The best chargers IMO are C-Tek. The 7002 has the "supply" mode, but you'll have to hook it up via the clips or use the included terminal.
