AMGs only or all MB?? ... I wonder why the C32 brakes cost a lot less compared to the normal Brembo aftermarket brake kits...after all they all came from the same factory...

Out Of Control!!
I believe only the calipers are actually made by Brembo. As many have pointed out, there isn't that much technology in the rotors... They are heavy, reverse directional (one is backwards), 1-piece, etc. For many models, Brembo offers a 1-piece and a 2-piece upgrade using the same caliper, and usually having a $1,000 difference in price. Manufacturing a hat for a 2-piece rotor specific to the car can be very expensive (added to a bigger/better rotor). Only a handful of people will upgrade their brakes to a Brembo GT kit, compared to those who will purchase C32's, and have the factory upgrade. Being that Mercedes buys in mass quantities, and that they are not as technologically advanced as a 14" kit, they can sell at much cheaper prices.

i have fitted the C32 AMG rotors and calipers in my car, i dont wanna spoil your day, but franky i am a little bit disappointed,
the rotors are directional but one direction only, so if i can remember correctly the right hand side is wrongly sided...
i suggest you can get some that can do the job properly to fit it, make sure you put in the appropriate brake fluid "DOT 4", and release all the "air" in ALL FOUR brakes both front and rear, the first time i have it done, the guy forgot to release the "air" at the back, so i have get another guy to do it again, but still...... so on the third time i put in steel cables too, it feel much better, so i suggest you should fit the cables too
i have it for almost one month, my comment is it stops pretty good but not as good as i have expected, also you can feel the front can stop but whereas you can still feel a little bit push or force from the rear, cos i did not change the brakes at the front, so i guess thats the downside

Where did you get the steel brake lines?, what brand? and how much?....I've been looking for them but I couldn't find any...

i guess there is a little bit difficulty here cos you are in sydney and i am in hong kong, so even i tell you where i got it still doesnt help, anyway i got my C32 brakes for HK$5,680 divide that by 5 (roughly) then you will get the aussie $ equivalent and my steel line for HK$1,800 all 4 lines front and rear
but as i said its good idea to fit the steel line too, thats my own personal experience

I think AMG rotors are good enough....well they're good enough to be fitted on the C32 ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hopefully I can get the stainless steel brake lines to be custom made locally. So far it looks promising as I've made some calls and they said that they can do it as long as I got the factory sample.

I bought the C32 front brakes for about US$900 including brake pads, it cost a bit more here in Australia but I believe that you can get the same thing in US for about US$700.
Braking quality??... I can feel the brakes now bite harder than the stock ones, but I think theres still more room for improvement as the brakes are still in breaking in period for another 200km.

The W210 E55 AMG rear brakes are a direct bolt on. I installed them months ago on my wifes Coupe (they will fit any W203). No special modifications required.
Stainless steel lines were impossible for me to find- I tried every source in the US I could think of. All I got were replies that they could be custom made from specs of a standard set etc. I had a set made locally with swaged fittings. They greatly improved the pedal feel, much firmer. I paid approx $200 for the set of four lines.

I'm aware that you've changed all your brake lines...I'm just wondering if just changing the front would be as firm as changing all four.
