driver side seat is stuck
I have a 2003 c240 without the fully electric controlled seats with the adjustment switches on the side of the seat and the switch to adjust the back support up does not work. So now my back rest is laid completely flat.:
edit: I should also add that all the other adjustments work, it's only the back support motion going up that does not work.
Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a bad contact? Any diagrams or pictures of the wiring diagrams or anything?
I'm hoping I can still manage to get the seat out so i can look at how its been put together but the position it is in is going to make it difficult.

problem solved. If it happens to anyone else I had bad contact points on the switch. Had to remove seat and take out the switch. disassemble the switch and clean it.

samaritrey, typically 4 bolts hold the seat to the floor; after that, disconnect the power connector. If your seat is not moving back and forth and it is currently blocking either the front bolts or rear bolts, then removing the seat will be a challenge.

It was pretty straightforward. Just remove the four bolts and disconnect the wires. It was easiest to get in and out while the back support was laid down flat. I did see your post that you had trouble moving your seat forward and backward, and as long as you can get a socket wrench to the bolt it will still be easy. Also, i just used a 10mm 12 point socket to remove the bolts.
