c230 coupe-Remove rear plastic window-!!
Hi can someboby help me ?? I want to remove my rear plastic window on my 2003 c230 coupe because i want to paint it to look more like the CLC but i dont know how to remove it ....:-(

Out Of Control!!
I've never seen anyone remove it. Wouldn't it be a hell of a lot easier to just vinyl over the window instead? 
That way, you could either block it off completely (not very smart, imho, since rearward visibility is already not too good) or just do a tint, which would be a better idea.

Saprisa went through this in the lost thread on his Coupe because it had to be removed when he put the Euro-plate bezel on the rear, if I remember correctly.
He documented the process extensively and unfortunately he learned that the rear window is put in place with an epoxy or something similar. His body shop was unable to remove it intact, and none that I have talked to have been successful. Essentially you have to order a replacement part, an adhesive kit and then break the other removing it. Then you have to grind out the existing epoxy, smooth out the fitment and re-attach the new piece. If you look in the EPC, they should list the window and the epoxy kit.
I gathered that a body shop that is used to working on these time things does not find it to be overly difficult, but the labor involved runs the cost up.
