Sunroof noises AREN'T unique to MB's...

ALL sunroofs make noise, it's the nature of the beast.

My wife's A4 (Still does, dealer(s) unable to fix ). My BMW 740i made some (fixed by dealer in 1 visit though ).

I wish I could wait for a custom built car I would have gotten my C without a sunroof.

All cars have problems...even $350,000 handbuilt RRs.
Some cars have more then others, it really depends on a ton of factors. Sometimes you get lucky sometimes you dont.

My car has not one rattle, in the roof or otherwise. My interior has almost been completely ripped out and put back without any rattles appearing...it just depends.

I did just that. I ordered my c230 sedan w/o a sunroof. after 3 day the dealer called and said that they had that just arrived without a sunroof. same as what i ordered but without the heated seats. I got it that day I was going crazy waiting for the car.
