Indy's Vs. Dealerships?
I'm a relative newbie to MB ownership. Just wondering in general, is it a good idea to have services done at the MB dealerships? Or are indys better? Anyone had any BS happen from taking it to dealership? I take to dealership primarily because we had a bad first encounter with a "highly recommended" local indy. Went in to get the AC compressor, condensor and pulley/s (and alternator pully) replaced. When I picked it up, the AC worked great, but the supercharger didn't work and and check engine light on (low boost pressure - go figure...) I immediately took it back to shop and was told "sorry, we didn't mess with the supercharger at all, that's how it was when we got it." I assured them it was their fault and was probably something stupid they missed on reassemble and that I would sue them if they didn't get it working properly. 3 hours later "sorry Mister, tech says he forgot a clip on X-hose, your car is ready now." "But I thought you guys didn't touch anything having to do with the supercharger, @sshole"

I hear alot of negativeness about the MB DLR, I think it has to do with the DLR itself, my local dealership, doesn't mess around, gets it done. Never had an bad experience. But all of them are different. Even for oil change, it's $90 Mobil 1, Filter, Spray all hinges, top off fluid, and a hand wash.
