Ddm's website shows 35 watt 6k bulbs having slightly more blue color. Based on your setup I think I'll go with 35 watt 6k bulbs with azn optics 8k led's. Now I have to look into what you meant by d2s retrofit bulbs. New at this...

The kelvin rating(i.e. 10000k, 4300k) does not represent the brightness levels. It is a measurement of color. As trey stated, 4300k is the brightest color. Any deviation away from it will diminish useable light. Therefore 10000k will be purple in color but will probably give off less luminescance than your standard halogen.

Honestly, it's up to you what you want. I'd recommend 4300-6000 as the spectrum to use. The range looks better, is less of a nuisance for other drives and will keep you out of a ticket.

ah, now i understand. one of my friends was telling me he thinks i should get 10k or 12k, but i guess he likes his lights real blue. and i definitely don't want a ticket. i like a little blue but not so much that it will get me pulled. thanks guys.

Everytime I see that I cringe.
My used Bix came with some cheap crap 6K bulbs that went out quicky.
On the way home from the install party, ha, no beer,
I used them in a canyon and at dusk, they were basically invisible.
I have the stock 4300K Philips (which are pretty indestructible) now, which I like since it's the OEM color,
and distinguishes me between all the idiots with Civics running blue and purple
Xenons.
I might try a set for my fogs, though I'm running some crystal vision bulbs that are fairly bright for Halogen.
The level of my fogs is so hosed since I caught the front bumper on a tree root
and practically got tore off.
I didn't want to call my insurance for fear they might
beetch about my lowering.
It tore right through one of the hold where the bumper screws in,
I glued a piece of tin can to the bumper. ha
Everytime I see that I cringe.

Yeah man 10k and 12k are just for show only.. Atleast i think. Mine have a slight blue hue but after they warm up its super white. You can't go wrong with 6k

What wattage are you going with? I think I am going 5000k 35 watts up top and bottom and then getting azn optics 5000k led parking lights. I keep reading that fogs should be 35 watts to prevent damage and want heads and fogs to be same exact color. Worried 55 watt heads and 35 watt fogs will be different colors.
