Question Car cover problems?

Guys,
I just got in from washing my coupe. The garage the coupe is in has a notorious dust problem, it seems ater a day or two in the garage a fine dust settles on the car. I've got the Mercedes coupe cover (which is really cool when you put it on, it has the star sewn on the front, and "Mercedes Benz" sewn where the C-230 badge is.), but my question was: Is it okay for me to leave the cover on for an extended period of time? Or is it better to not cover it and let the paint breathe? Thanks a ton!

Paint doesn't breathe. It does take a few weeks to cure.

the car cover is a 3 layer, noah fabric that does allow the car to breathe, so you can leave it on.

You should have no problems with the MB car cover (especially in a garage).

I had a high quality cover for my Acura (probably a previous generation material compared to Noah). It lived outside for years (covered about 99% of the time) while I was in grad school, then it got hit one day in the parking lot - the cover material was so good that the paint was completely undamaged, although there were two huge creases down the door and quarter panel from the other car's bumper. When I took it to the body shop the guy made a comment about how nice I had kept the paint, he was pretty surprised when I told him that the car lived outside.

Cheers, BT
