Irwindale
Yesterday I went to Irwindale and ran an 1/8 mile. First time at a track and I had a great time.
1st run was against an old school Camaro SS. He left me in the dust...I had a late reaction time too (1.158).

9.715 @ 73.97
2nd run was a little better because I lined up against a WRX. Too bad he had a bad launch or else it would have been a great race.

We're gonna go back on November 11th (Thursday). Admission is 10 dollars and 10 more dollars if you want to run your car (no limit, just how many times you can line up until they close). You guys are more than welcome to come.
The fastest car than night did a 5.499!!!!!
November 11th..cmon down!!!
Got spanked by a WRX. Grateful SeaCoupe didn’t post that video on YouTube.
Redeemed itself by later pulling on a open-exhaust Detroit machine with Ed riding shotgun.
Have some new mods that should rightly be validated against the clock.
Although the 11th is iffy, you’re welcome to have a go in mine when next we catch up.

I'm going this Thursday because I have to settle some business (96 Impala SS with intake and throttle body). My main weakness is my reaction time and not launching correctly. We should all collaborate and have an actual gathering at Irwindale (just like K1). Hopefully by then Phil will have his GTR

The DA at Fontana is seldom favorable. My wild *** guess would be ~8.5 at 83 (1/8th) in your sharp C55.

Your "V-Tec" and "4MatiC" time slips list 60’ and 660’ intervals as basis for comparison with those from Karo, yes?

Luck has it that I’ll be away on business until late Thursday afternoon. Contemplating knocking off early in order to see to you have at it.
Those tuned LT1’s are no joke, even in a hefty Impala.
Yours has already demonstrated solid performance...leave as that last yellow illuminates.

Palmdale (LACR) was better but people really didn't like it because of the altitude. I went to Fontana once with a group of people...3 hours for 1 race

Although I wouldn't mind Laurence's C43

Hey Min, you better not flake on me with your bootleg ECU flash...be there

Remember tomorrow...anyone is welcome to join
so we can watch.

have fun!
I had a G37 as a loaner after the M3 got rear ended a couple years ago. I was not impressed. the handling was soft and unconnected and the power was ok at best. the 135i (and yes, the 335i) have it beat hands down. I'd rather get a 335d over any G37.

1st race G35 had it
2nd race I had the G35 but towards the end he was gaining on me.
3rd race the G35 jumped and got confused and got smoked (12.835 @ 49.91)
4th race I had the G35 good and he couldn't gain on me. Then I slowed down on the finish line and he missed the first turn out and still tried to make it (horizontal in front of me). I slammed my brakes with Dyno mode on
made it 5 inches with a good amount of smoke (he almost ate it). Bottom line is the G35 Sedan is a faster car. He got way better 1/4 mile times. But if this was street and the light hit green the C350 would have came up top.
The fastest time that night was Milkman, he ran an 1/8 mile in 13 seconds at 62mph. I have witnesses

Edit: And he was trying loooooool
G35's best time 8.917 @ 80.87 (when he won 1st race)
C350's best time 9.535 @ 75.25 (I ran consistent 9.5xx throughout the race)
