How to look for a Part and Part Number?

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a Comand unit that I am going to install on my 2005/C320. I am now looking for a right GPS Antenna for it, I don't know part number that will match with my unit. The unit part number is: A203-870-29-89
Is there a way to find the right part without knowing the part number?

take a look at this software. I bought it from that seller and that is simply a fantastic software for anything you need.

MB Beverly Hills Dealer Sucks! =l

Thanks Guys, I ordered a GPS Antenna that I am hoping it will work with the comand unit.

I went to MB Beverly Hills and asked from a services advisor "Andy" about installation. He wasn't helpful at all. He was keep saying this car doesn't have factory navigation, so we will charge you $300 to install navigation on it. “If it works or not we still will charge you.”

I asked part advisor about what Antenna that will work with unit, he said there is no way we can find out!

Eventually I had to ask for their installer to come and talk to me. He came and he said "I don't know" “I only know if there is factory navigation on the car, it will work, but this car doesn't have a wire for the comand.”

Afterwards, the Antenna cost me 140 with special order and will be delivered tomorrow. I am crossing my fingers that it is compatible.

Here you go, this should answer most of your questions. A great source of information. If your dealer is going giving you those answers, they will have no clue how to version code the car for Comand once you get it installed.

One other thing, if your car came from the factory with TeleAid, even if it is not active now (or you didn't update it to the digital) the car still has the factory GPS antenna installed, and you will just need a GPS splitter and a cable to run to the front. Otherwise, (or if you wish) the retrofit antenna referenced in the article will work fine. Most people use the retrofit antenna anyway because it is easier to install.

I'm pretty sure 140.00 for that antenna is robbery.
