Does the Euro comand have a different color display than the us version? Does any one know the exact dates that Steve will be in the La area?

The displays are the same colors.

do you know what TV channels the Euro comand can pick up? I heard the reception is not very good. Also do you think the MB dealer will turn off the "watch TV while you drive" feature when you bring it in to have it reprogrammed?

The Euro COMAND doesn't have a TV tuner built in, so its ability to show TV channels depends on the tuner that is plugged into it.

That will depend on your dealer. Some will, but most won't is my guess.

Enri - I got the us comand

To be able to turn the "watch TV while in motion" off, it has to be switched on first...the standard euro comand has this feature switched off!

The TV tuner picks up the US signals pretty good...I installed an OEM TV tuner with aftermarket hidden diversity antenna last week and was surprised by the quality...not too bad, but only usefull while the car is parked and not in motion.
All TV tuners I brought on this trip have already been sold.

THE EURO COMAND HAS THE ABILITY TO SUPPORT A TV TUNER, it does NOT function as a TV out of itself.

The euro and US comands are exactly the same as far as facade and display colors go...the only differences are to be found in small details.

I will contact those who are on the install list once I have the time to do their installs...no need to keep mailing me and no need to fear that I will forget you.
