4matic fun on snow :)
i try my c280 2007 4matic in a big parking lot, few in of snow with ice.
normal = tc do not let wheel slip and you cant make any crazy things
esp off = more fun , tc function normally but esp is more freindly for big skid
dyno mode = woooooo!!!! now you need to know what you do ... crazy skid...complete donut... oversteer...understeer... not safe in real world driving.
with esp off you can make some big power skid and keep control but if you loose control the car take it on the safe way... cool
now waiting for summer

fun stuff... yes but winer tires are noisy, not so much grip on dry, buy an other set of wheel .... scratch paint when removing snow... some spot on paint and windshield from sand and salt they put on the road....
i buy this car EXACTLY for this

Here in ALberta we use rocks instead of salt, I hate it, its less effective (doesnt get rid of the ice) and gives chips everywhere!
Winter tires definately make a huge difference in stopping distance tho

The SRS system doesn't shut down with dyno mode, does it? That wouldn't make sense and the car would inform you with the SRS light. I believe the bags will function as intended even in dyno mode.

When I was racing the G35 at the track the idiot (who happened to be a friend) turned right in front of me (from the left side) to make it to the first turnout. I slammed my brakes and my car started sliding and stopped in time. So I know for sure about the ABS and ESP and I'm guessing the Airbag should be same too in dyno mode.

The SRS system is active at all times in my 05. In Dyno mode I have ABS light, a message that says ABS Unavailable - Diagnostic Test and ESP Unavailable - Diagnostic test.
No SRS light, no airbag warnings. The SRS system is still very much active.
