Angry Sob's!!!

so i took my new pagid brake pads to be installed at Midas, they said it would cost $216! I was like what the hell?! I left there immediately. If anyone has any idea of where I can get a more reasonable price in the DC/metro area, let me know...

My local place will install their pads for $99 all around

So, they should charge less than $99 if you provide them with brake pads......

Just keep looking or learn how to do it yourself. I would never give in and pay that much just because it's the only option. Keep trying the small garages and see if you can explain that it's an easy job and try to work out a deal or something. Most of the places you went to probably have a standard rate for brakes, no matter how hard or easy.

well..

i called at least 40 more places. From small garages to big franchises...

actually, most of the small garages said they wouldnt do the work because they dont want to use customer's products, only their own, because of warranty. also, to my surprise, those small garages charged the same or more than all of the big names like midas, meineke, etc. I finally found one place in the yellow pages that would do it for 55$ per axle, so $110 for the job. Their ad in the yellow pages had large bold letters stating "we specialize in brakes" so hopefully they will do a fine job. I'll let you know tomorrow afternoon...

I'll also be getting my new rims back from "Wheel Doctor".. they've been repairing my rims since Thursday. The rims are the amg's off a C32!!!

Now if i can only do these calipers....
