Chicago Auto Show
As I have a Coupe on order, I had to see what M-B brought out. Turns out they had two - a Paprika/Charcoal cloth and a White/Oyster leather. Niether car had C7, but both had C2. The Paprika looks better in RL than in pictures, IMO, though the wife hated it. The white car looked very nice, though I'm still adjusting to the "new" interior color scheme (vs. the one in the C-Class brochure).
While we were looking at the Coupe, wife points at another car nearby and says, "ooh, that's nice". It was a silver SL. "You have expensive taste in cars," I respond. Just a bit beyond my means, to say the least.
Anyway, there were lots of cool cars to sit in & play with, as usual. Side note: Interestingly enough, during the regular show, all of the manufacturers remove the shift knobs from their cars, as they are vulnerable to theft from your run of the mill jackasses. During this event, with one major exception, most of the cars still had the shift knobs in place (you'd think that $150/ticket would keep out the bulk of the thieves). See if you can guess the manufacturer that was the exception.
