Not a recall but if you go to the dealer and tell them you have a squeeky pulley and there is a campaign on it they will change it out for you. I had this done on mine.
You guys are right. In my ALLDATAdiy subscription it is listed as campaign number 2008070002 to replace the guide pulley.
I thought recalls were mandatory replacement? (as in free parts and labor)
Campaigns are "known" issues but up to the owner of the vehicle to pay up?
That's what I was told by a MBZ dealership in downtown LA.

My understanding of recall is to "check" the condition of the part and replace if defective; unless the recall specifically states to replace the part without even checking.
