Colored door handles

Does anyone know what's the best place to get the body color matching door handles to replace the black ones? I check the dealer, and they said each handle is like $41. The price doesn't seem bad at all. Has anone replaced these? Is it easy to do? Can I just replaced the handle, what about the lock and remote senors on the handles?

Thanks.

that's a tremendous amount of money for door handles! They better be plated some type of gold or something!

Yes, Steve ordered me a pair and installed them just last weekend. It is just the handle and the lock/ir shell for both sides. If you have the black handles this is a great upgrade. Steve had them for me almost within a week and a half of when I inquired about them. However since he was going to be in the area I just waited. He even installed them for me. Doesnt look to hard to do. Price was approx $100. Thanks Steve

Why did'nt you just get your existing handles painted? Or are the new handles with the chrome on the top and body colour on the bottom?

What dealer are you buying from for $41? Does anyone have instructions on how to install these?

Several reasons, First, I wanted the color of the handles and the color of the body to match exactly. Body shops can get real close but its not the exact same color. Also I had gotten an estimate from a couple of places and it was going to cost almost the same to have them painted as to having the Factory OEM handles ordered and installed. And No, they are not the new handles with the chrome on the top.

I dont have printed instructions however I watched Steve do it and it looked very simple. If anyone is interested I would PM either Steve or if he is tied up I could even give you the basics, its fairly easy.

Again I cant emphasize enough how much of a difference this makes to the exterior looks of the non-C7 cars that came with the black plastic handles. Besides my wheels the handles made the largest noticable difference and they only cost approx $100

Hope This Helps,

session,

I was quoted by my dealer, Calabassas Motorcars, in Calabasas, CA. He said 41 and change for each handle. I didn't order it yet, 'cause I'm still looking for instructions on how to do it. If I do, then I'll order it. Too bad I'm not handy like some people are so I need to see instructions and make sure I can do it first.

Given the extra content of the C7 package, the low cost, and the enormous amounts of money it takes you to duplicate the results, I can't understand why anyone would buy a C230K without C7.

there's a number of reasons for why people didn't get the C7 package.... Either they bought there C-coupe very early or the C-Coupes the dealer had in stock didn't have the C7 package... either way i think most people would have gotten the C7 package if it was avaliable and if they knew what it really added to the car.... although for people that ordered their C-coupe through the dealer and had to wait, i'm sure they're kicking themselves for not getting it...

Am I the only one here who actually likes the black door handles?? With the black B pillar, black window trims, and tinted windows, I think the black door handles make up a pretty nice pattern with my car's white body color. So actually I'm thinking of painting them black so that I can wax them as well.

Yes.

The black door handles dirty up the clean lines of the bodywork...same as how the US Market orange marker light inset into the rub strip on the bumper stands out.
