I have always had an interest is Mercedes Benz driving sport. Although, I don't have much knowledge, I would like to learn. So internet, here I come, ha.
I really have taken a liking to the C230k sport coupe. I definately would like to own one as my next vehicle. Just a Daily Driver for now with some small upgrades along the way. I would say I am a couple months away from just buying one outright.
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Happy motoring!
That is Why I like it. It is different, and still fairly light. 2,800 lbs. And you still have all the options the coupes have with plenty of weight reduction!
With this motor I will leave it alone for Daily Driving and reliability purposes. I might do intake, headers, and exaust for the ka24de. It is the american motor. It is cast iron block and internals, so not as reliable for boosting as the japanese sr20det motorset, and about almost 150 bls heavier.
I want to do a vq35de, or vq37vh motor swap, which is a v6, with 6 speed tranny. Some fabrication is needed like motor mounts and possibly headers, ect. But the vq series block, heads, and tranny is all aluminum, so it is lighter by 60bls or so vs. the ka24de, which is a cast iron 4 cylinder. But I migh do a sr20det swap before. Still teater/tottering on that yet.
