2nd meet w/ Drew
I had my second meet up with Drew (bdgdl08) and his always-lovely girlfriend Victoria last night. We met at the Varsity in downtown Atlanta where Drew loaded my car down with some very, very dirty 2007 SS rims. Unfortunately there weren't many pics taken although I snapped this crappy one:

We did dinner @ Bahama Breeze in Kennesaw, GA and then I drove Drew & Victoria in a tour of Atlanta in Drew's 07 C230. I really do quite like the feel of the 07 V6 cars.. the refinement is a big step up.
We thought that this was a cool photo I took of the "pencil building" aka Bank of America tower.

And today, at 98,900 miles, my car finally has the wheels I have always wanted!

Out Of Control!!
I agree - those are some very nice-looking stock Benz rims. Close to the C7 rims overall, and much better than any of the 5-points, which all look fairly nasty to me.
I'm hoping the towel was to clean up the rims, and not the back seat.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You're 0 for 2 in terms of getting good pics from a meet of you two and your cars, by the way.

It was to clean up the back seat, actually. Do you know how dirty that color gets when you haul rims in the cabin?!
Everyone knows what these cars look like.

Wheels look great Matt. My favorite wheels on a 203!
Of course I see you guys didn't invite - again. And Bahama Breeze is right around the corner. Discrimination against Coupes!!!! I swear, that is what it is!

well i had a 1987 Suzuki samurai when i was a kid (10 years old). I was making my first screen name and my mom misspelled samurai so it has stuck ever since.
Right know i have the stock 16 inch rims. They suck but tires are cheap and i can rotate so i get 40k+ on sets of tires which is awesome. I plan to keep them and get some blizzak tires for them

"annoyance" and "self-righteousness", amoung others...
LOL funny. I had a screenname forever like that too... misspelled it and it stuck... BonMaster.
it was so stupid. From the days of AOL dialup to playing quake 1 @ 14.4kbps and finally on Xbox Live playing Halo 2 before dental school and a wife took over my video game time
dont remember the last time I picked up a controller or aimed my mouse over someones head.
anyway!!!
big step up for the wheels! your car should handle better for sure.
correction: beforewife, school, and a Benz/mbworld.org came into my life

Karo - I don't think the rims are ugly, I just think they don't fit well with the AMG sport kit like the 07 rims do. Marco actually says he liked the 05 rims better..
But I think the rims from my car will go very, very well on the more conservative look of Trey's pre-facelift lux model.
Trey - Yes, you have to come get them. Don't pack much in your C320 if you intend to load the rims. They take up the entire trunk and back seat. I really hate driving them around in the car, too. Something you should be aware of are the tire conditions. The fronts will be DWS.. they have shoulder wear (29,300 miles of use) but show good for wet or dry conditions. The rears will be General UHPs, they're pretty worn - like 10% remaining.
Karo - Come to GA.
Mike - OMG I swear I forget. We should get together for Bahama Breeze sometime soon even without Drew.
I really love the rears:

I plan to replace all the tires you give me anyway matt so don't worry about it. I can't wait but now have to save money for new tires too
but plan to wear out my current tires first so i won't be enjoying the 17 inch rims for awhile.

You can get away with running the 17s for a bit while you save up if you want to have them mounted right away. They're gonna look really good on your car!

Yeah John.. it is the best thing I've done. It's at 99,100 miles and it seems so new and refreshed now with the rims. They're easily the most attractive W203 rim and one of the rarest since they appeared only on the SS sedans of 2007 in the USA.
Thanks for the compliments!

1999 CLK320 (sold), 2007 C230 SS (gone), 2000 Grand Marquis, 2011 CR-Z, stay tuned...
I guess I should go ahead and chime in... We all had a great time. Matt provided a first-class tour of Atlanta, and it was fun being driven in my own car. It's great having friends from all over. I ran into one of you guys on I-75 today. It's nice to be part of a community like this.

I don't think so.. I've never seen them on anything else. I could be wrong but I thought the 07 CLKs had the 04-06 Sport rims.
Drew - I had fun! Wish you guys lived closer, though.
I need to road trip to your hometown and let you take me on a tour!

I did some quick investigation and out of all the 07 CLKs I looked at, none had these rims. Your dealer must've put them on for some reason. I believe these to be exclusive, in the USDM, to 07 Sport sedans.
