Ambient sound setting
Hi All,
Is this Ambient sound setting available on Bose only. I have the standard stereo and even though it's mentioned in the book, I can't find it anywhere on my stereo.
Does anyone of you guys with the non-Bose have it?

Don't get upset, this Ambient mode is pretty useless, anyway. It would make sense if a mono source was used, to create a pseudo-stereo effect, otherwise straight stereo settings are just fine.
It's not a Dolby Pro-Logic system, as used in the latest generation Volvos (that system, SC901, with a dash-mounted center speaker is absolutely stunning, BTW).
It looks like all this Ambient mode does is frequency-dependent phase shifting that blurs the true stereo imaging, that's all.

You're right. Good stereo sounds better than any DSP effect, in my opinion, for example in quality home stereo units.
I was just wondering because I read about this in the manual but couldn't locate the ambient menu in the stereo.
