Valeo voltage regulator????
I'm thinking my voltage regulator is going out. Can I replace just the regulator? Or do I have to replace the whole alternator?

2019 C300 Wagon; '75 Triumph TR6; previous: 2004 C230 6spd sold after 17 years of driving
The regulator is around $200, for someone to rebuild the whole alternator is around $260

For an extra $60 you get all new bearings, cleaned up, tested and other electrical parts replaced

I would say that is $60 well spent

Unfortunately the Valeo V-R is expensive, a Bosch is half the price

Actually at Partsgeek a voltage regulator is only 130.00
