Careful, those are most likely VAG cables. I had the exact same thought process and Jerry saved my bacon before I bought one.

Cheapest I've found that actually connects to our vehicles is $80... plus shipping. You might as well buy from someone you actually like and trust.

Trust me when i say this cable works for pulling codes from your car. Doing dyno pulls. I have dashboard XL on my laptop. Tons and tons of stuff i can do

Here is what i have

http://www.ecrater.com/p/8112951/obd-ii-elm327-usb-can

Well worth it cheaper then a OBDII reader for pulling codes.

Still the cable plus tune is cheap! I would assume that Jerry would charge a little more if you already had the cable and wanted to do the tune.

It probably will but you'll still need to purchase the tune because each person has a specific VIN for their tune.

As long as Jerry can remote onto your laptop and your laptop has a valid connection to your car's ecu, you are good to go.

I have the exact same one as you have. The programs they sent with it are so whack, I downloaded the PCMSCAN as well. The 0-60, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile is hilarious. I wonder how accurate it is. Have you tried it?

Karo, do you know if these will work with remote tuning? I'm assuming yes, since its just a cable and what you really need for tuning is the software...

I don't really know slowsky. Just pitch in with someone and share the cable as mentioned or I'm sure once done people will probably be willing to rent it or sell it

Jerry,

I sent in my payment on Monday but have not heard back. Can you verify that you received my payment?

Also, any thoughts on being able to get the flash done in Santa Barbara.

Thanks

Henry

Nice i believe thats the place i got mine from.. My grandfather got it for me so i forgot which place he ordered it from. I have the cracked vs of this software pcmscan. Your correct about there software being b/s you just need it for the drivers really. You can pull error codes from your car and tons of other stuff.

Ive done three dyno pulls and on the last one before i ran out of gas i figured out how to set it up correctly because my tq was coming up as 400. When testing you have to start in 3rd gear start from like 2k rpm.

Im still playing around with it.
I love the digital dashxl. Thats why it would be sick to have a incar computer with a 7 inch screen in the dash.

That's cool man, I use the crackhead version of PCMSCAN too. Ya I saw the dyno but it asked too many damn questions and I was too lazy to put in my tire specs and stuff. How accurate is the dyno on that? I'm sure the 1/4 mile isn't bad.

When i was doing the dyno on my car i was starting from a stop. So it was showing my tq at 400 in the 800rpm range lol which is way off. I didn't know if i had the final drive ratio set correctly. I will play with it soon. It was showing my car at like 210HP which is close to what it should be. Ill turn my laptop on and show the dyno sheets here. I know there not correct but just for you to get an idea.

The program is sick for playing around =D The qtr mile time i couldn't do because there wasn't enough road for me.

In dash computer with OBD II hook up would be sickk

You have 3.27

And you probably need to be in whatever transmission gear is 1:1 to get accurate results.
