Sales Experiece Survey

i recently recieved the survey for customers who recently purchased a benz. and my sales reps boss is telling me to give it to them to fill out and i'll get a gift in return. first of all, does every car salesmen do this? second, if i were to acctually give it to him, what gift do you think is worthy of the trade?

They care about these. They gave me $200 off if I handed it in with all high marks. We were $200 a part on price, so it sealed the deal.

That would be what I would ask for. If you agreed on price already, try to get something you want. Or, if you liked your sales experience, just fill it out.

Our sales rep just told us flat out that the survey was very important, and then asked if there were anything that would have kept us from giving a perfect rating. Later, the manager told us that the survey was important and that they hoped we'd fill out perfect marks.

The dealership sent us a tiny gift basket.

We didn't actually fill the survey out until after we'd made a couple impromptu visits and found that they still wanted to take the time to talk to us.

But having _them_ want to fill out the survey? That might have been enough for us to cancel the whole deal.

Mine offered me basically anything I wanted. Since I was going to give high marks anyway, I asked to be hooked up to the computer to remove the audio and phone message for free. He almost fell off the chair when he found out I didn't want a free set of floor mats or a detail (things he offered).
