Hi, wonder if you can help me, i have a w203 c270 cdi saloon and over the last day or two i keep getting the error message come up.When i first drive the car it wont come up for 5mins or so then it will keep flashing up every 30seconds or so after that.I took the car to a local garage who said the charging system was working fine although when under load the voltage would drop now and then, they said the battery could be on its way out so replaced the battery but is still doing the same.The car had the alternator reconditioned around 2 months back so is all new and so is the belt. Any ideas what could be causing this light to come up? Thanks

load test the battery my 03 c240 did the same thing and i left it for months till it got bad put a new battery then all was well

The alternator and battery have been replaced though?

voltage regulator that is attached to the alternator may be causing the issue. As the name implies, it regulates the voltage. As part of the alternator replacement, was the voltage regulator replaced?

What do you mean by belt is reconditioned. There is no such thing as 'reconditioning' a belt. Was it replaced?
