San Antonio mini meet in the rain
Mskembo drove down to pick up wheels and tires from hcalvarez. They both met at my place where we mounted them. Then a couple pics in the rain to document the moment.
hcalvarez let me know if you need the number to the body shop I used to get those impact strips painted. My friend owns it and they do awesome work.

It was great meeting both of you, I'm gonna have to do that drive again when it isn't raining! Thanks for the hospitality Ward, and I can't wait to see those impact strips on Hcalvarez's W203, they should look NICE!

It does give a guick comparison of stock, 4-slat and 3-slat grills. Then 17, 19 and 18 inch wheels.
I've already emailed Gary about the CF trunk lip. I did like it on Hector's car.

All three cars look good. I was gonna pick a favorite, but I'm really not sure. Everyone on here knows I really don't like modded cars, so mskembo's car jumps out at me first because it is stock. I also don't think the W203 has a broad enough fascia for an in-grille star and it makes the car look a little cross-eyed so I like his grille and standing star combo. But the frosty lights look so dated now.
Then again, Wardsweb's mods are extremely tasteful - especially the Benz wheels. It looks sportier without looking overtly modified. Best C240 on the board.
The facelift cars are by far and large my favorite and I really like the color, so hcalvarez gets my approval, too. I'm no fan of black rims, though, but as Wardsweb's signature says the only one that has to like your car is you.
There are a few people on the board who like the pre-facelift interior better than the facelift one. Having them side by side, what are your opinions (mskembo and Wardsweb)?

As silly as it sounds, I like the pre-facelift gauge cluster better, but prefer the facelift console. The best thing about seeing these three cars together is I'm starting to get a better sense of where I want to go with mine.
I think I'm going to keep the grill stock. I just like it better than any of the large slat grills, but I am definitely getting clear headlights. Maybe once my wife and I get done with the kitchen re-model I can get the BIX. The other thing I am really considering is getting Bilstien Sport shocks, and H&R sport springs. I think that would put the ride height exactly where I want it, without getting too much of a tuner look. But, the very next alteration on my list is a Suvneer body kit! It looks so nice! And for the money you just can't beat it.

Sitting at Discount Tire in Longview right now... I ran over a bunch of scrap metal in the middle of the road, and am getting the pleasure of new tires this afternoon.

True, the best part is that when it happened I was on company property, and the spill of metal objects hadn't been flagged. So my new tires are going to be paid for by the company! (I may have to pay for the towing myself) Check my personal thread to see what tires I went with!

Hector and I are in San Antonio. Mike drove down from Forney to buy Hector's old wheels and tires. We met at my place because I have the air tools and jacks that made the wheel swap on Mike's car a piece of cake. That and they wanted to check out some of my other hobby, passion, lunacy with cars and audio systems.
