2003 c240 4matic wagon
lcd lights flashing???

I noticed my lcd screen on the left side the backlights turn on and off (if you have the temp up its the row of lights behind the thermometer picture)


any way to easily fix this???

There has been many issues on this.. Mine gets messed up when it gets over 90 outside. The only way is to remove the cluster and swap out the lcds with another one.

The flashing is due to the LED's behind the lcd losing contact and regaining contact at a high frequency. Each column is connected in series so when one goes out, they all go out in that column. Only way to fix this is to open it up and re-solder the bad connection.
