Actually i dont really like any of the hyundai designs except for the genesis coupe which is a rip off of the g35 but it seems like hyundai did a better interpretation of the g35 then infinity did. I do love there 2.0L turbo.
Glyn beat me to the bunch. Lot of hyundai's current designs are by Piaskowski, including both the genesis coupe and sedan.
Hyundai and ford pretty much found the magic formula. Just have European styling and not use european electronics and people will buy.

I could spend 5 minutes on this forum, or any car forum for that matter, and find the same thing (i.e. people ranting about various defects and issues with their car). Most car mfrs. in general are building pretty good cars these days, but every model has their own unique issues, American cars no more than any other. Various quality surveys have born this out over at least the last few years.

03 g35 coupe...........02 c32 Sold
the cls is a enigma, it sells well in the USA but doesn't do well in the rest of the world. I can appreciate it since it was one of the first cars that was a sedan that had coupe lines and started the whole sedan that looks like a coupe concept.
In that case, the car was a pioneer in its class.

avoid any benz with more than 50,000 miles on it or you will be very sorry; go to youtube and look at the scotty kilmer video on worst luxury cars; he recommends leasing a benz if that is what you want; please watch his video before you buy; my 2005 c240 4matic has been a big time money pit

If you want to follow that rule, that's fine, but there are a lot more variables to consider than just miles. Some of the V6 W203s had a sintered balance shaft sprocket that would destroy itself. I would stay away from them all together. I would also stay away from 4-Matic because it is complication you don't need. I think a well maintained '05 C230 should have a long life. I'll find out. Mine has about 120,000 miles and I bought one for my daughter with about 80,000 that is nice shape. The 4 cylinder motors need their timing chain looked at but if properly looked after, it probably won't be a problem.
Having said all that, I wouldn't really advise the average person to get a Mercedes. You get raped on parts and labor at the stealership! I'd probably recommend a Jap or Korean car for someone who just needs reliable transportation.
