Weird Smell...
It's not clutch, exhaust, or rich gas mix... no other symptoms whatsoever... no leaks, no squeaks, nothing.
Every other startup, generally only after it has been sitting overnight, I get a smell that I only smell inside the cabin. Sometimes the passenger will smell it, sometimes not. It usually happens after letting the car warm up for a few minutes, and after getting going down the road for a minute or two, it goes away never to return for the remainder of the drive/day. It seems to have gotten better with the cold. It's a bit of a burnt smell, but as I said, not quite clutch or rubbber smell.
Any ideas?

I'll go pick up some vent cleaner after I drop a package off
and I looked at the cabin filter when I bought the car (because I had just bought one for the c230 I sold) and its the carbon impregnated one, and at a glance of the underside, it didn't look bad... but now that you say it, my old 230's filter looked fine and had a smell, and when I changed it, the smell went away... crap! I may give that a try too. I use a buddy's wholesale parts account at dealer to get that thing for like $20

The O'Reilys live 3 hours away back in my hometown. The 3 sons of the grandfather O'Reily who started it all (dead) pretty much still run the joint. Before Dental school I was a bartender for a catering company that catered all of their family dinners and charity functions. I got to know all of them over a period of about 3 years. Nice people. And filfthy rich.
