Finding a used alterantor C230 Kompressor Coupe 2003
Hi all,
I need to replace the alternator in my C230 Kompressor Coupe 2003. Any knowledge on where to find a quality used alternator for this model. Thanks.

its only 160$ at autozone . or you can use car-part.com to find one at a salvage yard , should be around 100$ . there 's such a small difference that it's a no brainer you need go new.

Other option is to remove the alternator and take it to an automotive electric shop for repair.

+2 on C230 Sport Coup's idea. An alternator shop will be much cheaper. You will be out of the car for a bit, but at least you know who did the work.
As an exampler (and one C230 can appreciate), I can buy a rebuilt alt for my Fiat project car for some $165. Or, I can buy new brushes for $25, which is the commonly failing part. I'll take $25 all day long.
