Is there a Kit to make a 2007 C230 go faster?

Just like I have seen my friend back in the day place a kit on a mustang to make it go faster ....."NITROS" I think its called to make it go faster, is there such a thing for a 2007 C230?

If so how much does it cost?
Is it worth it?
Can an outside foreign car mechanic do it?

You can make it quicker via a tune, headers, etc. But even after all that.. it still won't be that fast..
OE tuning had a great deal going on tunes, not sure if they're still doing it.

In all honestly, if you want something faster, go after a C55 or any other AMG if its possible. These cars are more of cruisers if anything, definitely weren't made to be quick.

Holy crap i just saw the C55 on a Youtube video and its similar to a C230 but with a V8 engine inside. I am wondering if you could get it with the same Rims as the 2007 C230

well I just saw the speed and I like that part but I really dont like the rims and the outside is a bit similar but I guess I will keep my C230 for looks. Right now at this moment for a 2005 C55 AMG cost roughly around $33,000 ......eeeeek!!!

For the cash the C230 is a great little car, 6 speed helps as well IMO. I got mine for the drive, great on the highway and solid at high speed. If your worried about 0-60 times the 2.5 is not for you. That being said i still love that little V6

You want to Nitrous on you C230. Go for it, pretty much any shop should be able to point you in the right direction.

I wouldn't do it, but that's just me.

Why would you say such a thing! Even in jest! That sounds like a great way to grenade your engine. Personally I am not concerned with stupid amounts of power (C55), all that is for me is more expensive tickets. I'm more concerned with reliability and drive-ability. You could always throw a Kleeman supercharger on it ($10k), and get an extra 90hp, but that's not going to be much help off the line. The C32 is a better middle ground, but you are looking at a car that's getting pretty long in the tooth, and it's getting harder to find one that is low mileage.

NOS is a great way to add power. Usually it's the cheapest way to add power but that depends how much you're gonna squeeze. Some people squeeze 150shot but I think 60shot should be ok for your engine.

I'm gonna take a while guess and say it might cost you 1800 - 2000 dollars.

A lot of people are afraid of NOS but it's not that bad if you know what you're doingl

Also remember "NOS doesn't blow up motors, idiots do".

But how many people do you really know that you'd trust with NOS on a W203? I only have 15,000 miles on my engine, and it would still not trust a 150 shot on it, and we all know that 60 is never enough! I also wonder what the ECU would think about it.

There are many safety kits for NOS kits. Some are WOT switches which allows you to run it only at WOT through the pedal or by the throttle body, there's also the fuel pressure safety switch which shuts off the NOS if the fuel pressure drops.

There is your answer Giovannisell... bang for your buck it's NOS, if everything goes wrong it's not my fault.

Amateurs don't use nitrous oxide. I've seen the way you drive you got a heavy foot. You'll blow yourself to pieces.

depending on your location, you can get a pretty good condition c55 right now for less than 20k. that's less than the cost of your car plus a whole bunch of crazy mods that would get you anywhere near the performance, reliabilty, or sex appeal of a c55. ask me how i know

Thoughts?

I think you should go for it!

Seriously, I know there is a lot more to a supercharger than just a fan with an electric motor attached, but part of me wants someone with access to a dyno to take this on. I'll let you use my car, and pay the $300 for the electric fan, just to have a FINAL and DEFINITIVE answer to whether or not these stupid things do anything.

Anyone in the D/FW metro area willing to take me up on that?

LMAO this is a battle between MSKEMBO and KARO....they are going at it. the rest of you'll are entertaining the situation. This is getting wild.

KARO what have I started here ha ha ha

From the sounds of this Thread, I think I may just keep my 2.5 for looks instead of searching for a C55AMG at a good price or a Kit that may possibly blow up my engine since I half way know anything about cars.

I'll just keep the good shine on my 2007 Benz

That sounds like a great plan!

And for the record, I didn't think it was getting bad between me and Karo. I know that he is more adventurous than I am , plus I don't want to wake up not knowing where I've been with a sore @$$
