My C230K sedan came with silver 1/2" high trim on the side trim (bump portection from adjacent cars). Other than the silver in the grill - this is the only silver on an all black car and it looks gaudy and nasty. (I know my opinion).

Is there an easy way to replace this with non chrome trim? I don't think i want to deal with prep and paint on those - are non chrome trim pieces available to buy?
