Post Need Help with MB Bluetooth Adapter Installation

Bluetooth Adapter Question.

Hi guys, I need some help with understanding this whole Bluetooth and MHI issue. I have a 2005 C230 Sport with Command/Nav system. Car is loaded with all the bells and whistles. When I opened my armrest I saw the spot where the BT adapter puck connection contact plate sits but it is covered with a plastic plate (not the connecting contact plate itself but a cover piece which can be removed)

So I opened the armrest from below and saw two receiving wire ends. One looks like an audio and the other has a square-receiving end. I concluded that my car is prewired for the MHI Bluetooth phone system. I bought the MB BT adapter Puck Connection cable, which has the contact plate on one end, and two cables feeding off that with connecting ends from ebay. It has the corresponding male ends that fitted perfectly into the receiving cables inside the armrest console and the adapter puck receiver contact plate also fitted in the spot that previously had the coverlid.

My Question is, do I just now need to buy either of the MB Bluetooth adapter pucks (B67876131 or B67875878) and connect it to the contact plate, follow the pairing instructions and good to go. Or does prewiring means I still need to get more hardware (like the MHI Control module) before anything can work.

Any help will be welcome. I am about to buy a BT adapter puck from ebay but want to make sure I don’t need any other harness. Please let me know if I am correct with my assumptions.
Thanks

I am assuming you don't have the cradle there already. If that is the case the car is "pre-wired" but you need more than just the BT adapter. I don't know a lot about the MHI setup. However, there is a discussion thread HERE that is will tell you most of what you need to know, and give you links to some great resources. It is one of the best compilations of knowledge on the subject I have found. It is a lot of reading, but it should answer your questions.

Also, HERE is a link to the installation documentation for the MB hands free kit.
