Panoramic roof shade

Hi folks,

I've been reading through the threads on the c230 coupe panoramic roof problems, but I haven't come across any that describe my particular issue.

1.) My roller blind has somehow detached from its support track or chain that moves it back and forth. That track/chain still works and will push the blind open but it will not pull it closed again. I've made a short video of the problem to better illustrate. http://vimeo.com/20455550

2.) My rear roller blind guides (called a clutch) that slide in the track have broken. So the roller won't move also. Now I'm stuck with front and back open. Any know if this can be repaired without taking down the headliner?

Appreciate any help.

It looks to me like the chain has popped out of that plastic piece with the hole in it (similar to a toilet flush system is all I can think of right now, since I just fixed mine this past weekend).

I suppose that this could probably be fixed without taking down the headliner, but that would just make the job longer in duration and increase the degree of difficulty.

My rollers have been fixed twice, so I feel your pain. Good luck.

So I've gotten the parts I need to hopefully repair the roller blinds. Left and right pull chains for the front roller (equipped with new clutches) and left and right clutches for the rear roller.
Anyone have a clear diy on how to sort to get these in place after removing the headliner? Hoping to do this on the weekend.

Ok, newbie here, I have a similar problem. Recently got a new to me 03 C230K coupe that the PO left parked under a tree for a long time with the sunroof cracked up - tons of leaves on top of the shade. So I got the sunroof manually opened and decided to shop vac all the debris of the shade - bad idea! The vac pulled the drivers side shade out of the track, so now it kind of sags on the drivers side. The shade still moves forward and back as it should, but I can't figure out how to get it back. I understand there is some sort of roller clutch in the back, but can't find any threads on R&R or with pics or videos. Please let me know if anyone has any knowledge they can share on this.
