Ours was bought in mid-March and has ~2000 miles on it now.

Only problem here is that the auto transmission seems brain-dead when it comes to downshifting. The engine revs and the tranny takes up to 4 seconds to figure out how to get into a lower gear.

A nusiance is that opening all the windows & the sunroof using the remote key is flaky; the key's got to be so close to the car door that I might just as well get in and do everything myself (what I currently do).

Tunnel mode OK
CD changer OK
Mileage over 31/gallon on a recent trip to & from Michigan, average speed over 68 mph

I have also found there to be a shifting problem. Mostly when I release the gas and glide it will shift almost as if the engine is doing all the breaking.

Also, I have had this happen 3 times, when i start the car it first sounds like it wants to stall, revs high and then its fine. Ever happen to anyone?

JPB the windows and roof from the outside only work via the IR sensor in the door. This is to protect you from accidentaly opening them. The doorlock and Panic all work via standard RF so it does not matter where you are. The IR sensor is on both door handles in the front the black square. The key must be aimed directly at these and just like you TV remote you must be close enough to make it work. I think it is 5-15 feet.

Mine's 3.5 months old, 5800miles, and just as perfect as new (except for the slight hail damage from last week's storms).

No problems, loving the car more each day . . .

Both happen only during about the first minute after starting the engine, but the almost-stalling is not accompanied by a high rev and it's intermittent to begin with. I decided to ignore it until the thing actually stalls.
If I really punch the acclerator for a few seconds, get up to speed, and then quickly let off, the car'll often downshift instead of glide. This doesn't happen with normal (?) driving, though.
I hope you really continue to enjoy your car. You know, our c230k sedan's the first car where I've driven 3+ hours, gotten to the destination and then wanted to get back in and drive some more. Something tells me the Acura we almost bought wouldn't've done this...
