Lightbulb dash buttons

As you may know there are 8 buttons on our dash as:

-left heated seat
-sunshade
-parktronic
-ESP
-central lock
-rear headrest fold down
-anti-tow
-right heated seat

I guess most of us do not have all these buttons on our cars. But, is it possible to just buy the missing buttons and just put them on so that the dash will look alot nicer. I mean buttons only and it will not function when you press it. But at light, you can still see them as our normal function buttons. Please help, thanks.

Thanks, do you mean I can still change them even though I do not have all the options. Do you mean I have to change the button as a whole 8 buttons assembly? Do you know how much would it costs?

yes, you can change the switches eventhough when they won't be functional (but what is the purpose of that?)...the switches (1 complete part from left to right) costs 207.61 euro from the NL dealership.

Do you have the part# for the dash buttons?

Thanks.

Actually I am planning to install a after market electric rear blind and I hope I can use the original shade button to control it.

...erm...there are 624 (just to name a number) different setups for this left-to-right switchrow...it is not just a partnumber...it is 13 pages of partnumbers in the EPC.

Frank: go to your nearby MB dealer and order 4 doorpins out of the W208 CLK...those are the same (123 numbered) doorpins...

How does the euro pins look like ? Does it looks like the ones on the c-coupe ? If that's what you mean, you can get it from the dealer for only around $1 per pin (I changed mine too).

Not really. ESP is standard as is the door lock as well as the tow button. - Leaving only '5' changing buttons.

The heated seats come as a set. - Again then only '4' real changing buttons

Unless I am wrong...

I also thought so that each button had its own place but then i was surprised to read Steve write

I am cunfused by this post. Basically Steve said that you can't add a button afterwards, it comes as one unit. There are 8 buttons, but like I stated earlier 3 of those are on every unit and 2 buttons are only available as a set, leaving only 4 additional configurations. This should yeild around 256 comb. which Steve said "624 (just to name a number)", meaning he didn't know but he wanted to say that there was more then just a few. I could be wrong, but I don't think so.

you are probably right...

I thought there were 8 buttons (each button is one predefined option) and those 8 could be placed in any order resulting in 40320 combinations.... :o

offcourse...
I have 48 partnumbers on my EPC for the mentioned row of switches (only 12 pages...instead of the 13 I had in mind...sorry).
Some of these are for the wagon (rear wiper instead of headrests) and the rest still leaves enough options to choose from.

carlssonist: yes, those are the ones... A 123 766 00 22 for those who want to have the partnumber...

Rumann: back home at the moment...trying to get some mails replied

While all US cars have the tow button, that is not true worldwide.

And taking into account the fact that the wagon and sedan has different combos its a bit more then 256 but nowhere near 40,000.
