command difference?
What are the differences between Euro Command vs. U.S. version?
Why do people prefer Euro versions over the US version?
Thanks.

MBWorld Fanatic!
It's probably because the Euro version has a TV button and combined with the tuner you can watch TV on your command. Also it has RDS (displays song name, artist, etc...) and it probably sounds way better. Some people like the U.S. spec one because it's warrantied by MB.

The euro comand has RDS and TV/DVD connecting possibilities BUT even with this euro comand you cannot watch while in motion when the OEM MB TV tuner is installed. The command settings have to be changed first before this is possible.
In order to connect a DVD, PS2, TV or camera/video an additional aftermarket connector is required (when the TV tuner is not used). The cheapest device one can hook up to the comand to watch DVD/PS2 (no TV, no video/camera)...
The euro comand has a different AM and FM scale and does not support the weatherband feature. As far as I have been told, most of the US AM stations can be received without a loss of reception quality.
The US comand does not have RDS, does not support TV functions and has weatherband.
