I got my car back today. They had it all weekend, it was the first MB they had done. The shop owner said it took twice the time to do a normal car. I am very pleased with the quality of the kit and the job done by the installer.

Wondering if it's the camera or just the image. the red seems a bit bright. Maybe that's the way you like it.

My local CST is still holding to the "it'll only take 1 day" story. I think that it's as realistic as the "all-natural D cups" story, but I'll find out on Monday.

Did you get the 100% leather or leather/vinyl mix? What do you think of the quality of the leather overall? Big question: did they do the backs of the front-seat headrests?

WOW! That 2-tone with contrasting thread looks remarkable. Especially on a black car. Nice choice. Now I'm jealous that I got the "boring" factory oyster leather (and waited 5 damn months).

Almost. I'm getting the always-popular silver center of seats/Orion blue-ish outside fronts of seats/charcoal vinyl parts combo, super-sized.

The leather should be in by Wed/Thurs, so that I can make sure that they didn't mess it up.

 

Seats look great! By the way, I love the Audi S8 chase scene in that movie your're toating around. Great flick.

 

The kit was all leather, 01 black, and 600 red. I guy did the whole car. If they have two guys on it could be a one day job. One of the difficulties was the padding apparently the padding is sewn to the cloth seat cover and not mounted to the seat frame so they had to dissect the original cloth seat covers to remove the padding this was on the fronts only.

Yes the back of the headrests were in the kit. There are two pieces for each headreast the backs are a diffrent piece.

Randy, guess the waiting was worth it, that color would look good in my Magma red. Well what next? Next time we meet I will have to park a block away, keep from people asking why mine does not look that way. But then again, your car would draw the attention and I can hang around and enjoy the crowd. At least will knock there socks of at an autocross.
