I found a great deal on a 2002 C320 with extremely low miles. In the description of the car, it was listed as "4Matic all wheel drive". I thought this was strange since I thought the 4Matic was introduced on the C320 in 2003. Everything I've seen on Kelley Blue Book and internet seems to support this. I called the sales guy regarding this and he still insists that it is a 4Matic and he confirmed that it's a 2002 C320.

Can someone confirm if the 2002 C320 even offered a 4Matic? If it is a 4Matic, shouldn't it have a 4Matic emblem on the back? What else should i look for when I go see the car to verify if it is a 4Matic or not?

Any help is appreciated. Either way, I'm still planning to get the car. I just wanted to know so I can negotiate on the price.

I'd aim for a 05+ w203... i believe it was introduce to the c240 and c320 in 2003...

Ask for the VIN, I believe if you do a VIN look up you'll be able to see the exact details of the car.

Should be an 03 at least, but perhaps it was very late 02 and someone got an early shipment?

The only way to have a 4matic 02 is have a my of 03 and build date of 02. You could look for front drive shafts that would tell you right away don't believe trunk badges. Also get carfax that should tell you i think.
