squeak free aftermarket break setup

hello,

about three weeks ago i replaced my rear break pads with oem stock break pads -- as a result i am now suffering from squeaking at low speeds. after consulting with various mercedes technicians i've come to the conclusion that the squeaking at low speeds is a byproduct of the new pads trying to acclimate to the groves of the old rotors. at this point it seems the squeaking is here to stay and that i must live with it or simply replace my rear pads and rotors. i'm going for the latter! i figure if i'm going to replace both pads and rotors i might as well go with ceramic pads and possibly aftermarket rotors as well. with that said it would be greatly appreciated if those of you with squeak free aftermarket break systems would share your setup.

thank you,

artiemease

akebono pads for the win! I had the same problem on my c240.

I recently upgraded to the 2005 c230 calipers and when i ordered the ceramic pads i bought the akebono and no squeking at all coming from them.

good luck!
