W203 Parts Travelling By Air. Very Costly
Ok Ok Ok, 15 More Days to go and i have started to get all my parts aside and packed very carefully.
Its a very big headace to take car parts and this is my very first time, accompanying me on a 14 hour long flight and then waiting in transit for 5 hours. Finally after waiting in transit, another 3 hours to my destination. A whopping 22 hours!!!!! I am travelling by emirates from IAH (Houston) - DXB (Dubai) - KHI (Karachi). But here's the best part, i am only taking small items with me like lowering springs, HID LED bulbs, CL 3 fin grille, CF vinyls, smoked film covers, fog lights etc etc. The BIG stuff like the AMG bodykit, CF front lip, C55 diffuser, CF trunk spoiler, roof spoiler will go via FedEx air freight directly from USA to PK with a price tag of $2700 (Economy Class). Now my total bill for all this is 2,200 (car parts) and 2,700 (air shipping) EXCLUDING my e-ticket. 4,900 USD with additional govt. tax and import duties. Should be around 5,500 USD approx. All this just for a W203. Before you say "why dont you buy it locally from your country and stuff like that". My answer is that my country doesn't have anything AMG related for sale nor after market products. And even if it is, its cheap and made of fiber glass. So ya ya ya. Pictures of my product below.
