How did you remove the trunk window and trim? You DON'T have bix? Looking real good though! How do you like those seats?

Trunk trim removal was super easy, just took off the middle piece in the back, then unscrewed the two piece one the sides and pulled the sides off. Pulled out all the clips for the cloth part, pulled that part out which revealed a bunch of screws for the big plastic piece, unscrewed those and that's it. Also, there are two screws under the third brake light cover just in case you get stuck. Will post pics if you need help, but I didn't take any so I would redo everything haha. Check the big piece everywhere for screws bdw, two are near where the side parts were.

I got the eBay projectors. Fit pretty well, used my mtec HIDS since they are better quality. BUTTT right headlight won't align all the way up, so I'm still contacting the seller about that, sent him a YouTube video of it after I uPloaded my video... Hope it's fixable because I already put xpel covers on them...

The seats are comfy... Sitting on sliders haha. As low as I could go and yet I don't feel low, just feels normal... Will probably be trying to sell them to my buddy that has a 240sx and try to get some recaros or corbeuas. How do you like your recaro? Any squeaks out of the seats or anything?

P.S. not going to get a wooden trunk... After carving my way through mountain roads to Santa Cruz today.. Thought about it and I'd rather just cover up that missing space where the rear seat used to be with leather or some black material than get all that weight

My Recaro is SOLID Nothing more needs to be said because seriously you get what you pay for with Recaro. In my opinion though do NOT get Corbeaus, they feel flimsy to me and for a daily driver seat it would kill your back.

I think i remember you showing me those projectors. . . do you have a link to them?

So the headlights are some knock offs on ebay? Thats a 1st.
I don't know of anyone else who has them.
How much were they? It's funny I actually wrote a letter to Depot I think, saying they were missing out on a big market by skipping the coupe. Hell there's 250K of the things on the road worldwide.

What is the point of this dump pipe thing?

And BTW, there are some Ebay intercoolers, that supposedly fit.
It only matters on a hot day.

Max, if you haven't already, run some fuel injection treatment you might notice a little more oomph. And yeah, they seem to love the ~ 50 degree weather the best.
Always sluggish in summer, the hotter the day, the more sluggish.
And crappy gas too....I can feel the difference between say Arco and
Shell.

To the guy with the red coupe, what wheels are those?

And BTW, I guess Jerkin doesn't care, but usually you start your own thread.
Dumping a bunch of stuff in the middle of someone elses thread is considered bad forum ettiquette, "hijacking" but certainly you could link back to your own thread.
But hey, not my thread.

One should be chrome one should be black. The chrome ones reflect the darkness at night so they look like black chrome. Pretty sick.

What do you think of those bad boys? Ignore the fact that they are not recline able haha

And Todd.. Knock offs were 500 with hid kit included so a good price if you haven't got hid's yet. Dump pipe allows you to bypass the muffler and resonator to decrease back pressure. Will also sound aggressive as F*CK! Haha since you said mine sounds like a lawn mower still.

Intercoolers? Really? Sounds like something worth looking into! Got any links? And yeah. I sea- foamed my injectors and intake manifold, was a trippy experience but definitely made a difference! Yeah I've recently been trying to stay with shell haha. Kinda want to get another can of sea foam hehe... Ps will probably be selling my cipher auto seats with the adjusted sliders to fit in our cars. Black on grey cloth will look beautiful in your car Todd haha. $200 for both

Going to go sit in it tomorrow after work, if it fits. Looks like I'll be going back on Wednesday before Santa Cruz to pay for them and have them start figuring out my brackets that they said they'll throw in for free and custom fit it for my car (they say that before seeing my car) if that's the truth I feel dumb for stressing so hard at one point trying to find brackets and only finding 700 dollar options. He said if I was to pay for custom ones alone, they'll be less than 200 for the pair. :slap face: O.o but hope they fit comfy. About to pull out my other seat so I can tell any third passenger that I cannot deal with dropping him off after a party or whatever not because I don't have gas, but because I have no seat haha. Jk but I hope I get hired at my interview on Thursday... Otherwise I'm screwed..... Will be out of commission.. Lol

The trim looks very good - what paint did you use?

I looked at my trim briefly this morning - by "middle piece in the back", do you mean the middle piece that's on the bottom (when the hatch is closed) or on the top? Also, think it would be ok with the trim pieces removed, or would that cause too much noise or vibration? Wouldn't be very happy if my hatch glass fell out while I was going one of NJ's thousands of potholes.

Drove around with no trim and it wasn't a big deal, just looked very stripped lol. I just went to home depot and got some rostoleum (brand) paint for plastics. Didn't want to use primer so that I wouldn't have to many layers and loose too much of the texture. By middle piece I mean the piece on the top when the hatch is closed. Or when it's open and your standing in the rear, all the way in the back.

I could have probably done a better job with real paint spray, but just some spray paint managed, once it gets scratched up then I'll go get some real stuff haha. Be careful with that middle piece, it's held on only on clips, and everyone tends to break 5 out of 8 piece first time taking it out haha. I dynamated my trim a bit so that it would reduce any road shakes it was doing before

Thanks - I'll probably add it to my "to do" list once I've got all of my crx projects out of the way - have to complete them before it's nice enough to take it out of winter storage.

I'm glad I inspired one mod in my life to the man who has so many mods lol.
I thought it'd be cool to do since one day I hope to get my headliner redone in leather

That could be interesting, if hard to keep glued in place.

I was thinking alcantara intially, but I'd be just as happy at the moment with fabric. The rear end of my car is starting to look like the house of wax - light gray fabric is drooping everywhere at the rear. I guess it's old age.

Yeah. My front pillars are wrinkly and loose from old age. I love the Alcantra idea since your already all alcantrad out haha. I think black leather would be kind of trippy and sweet haha

But hey, not my thread.
Sorry about that. I do apologize for my misbehavior Mr.Todd. Thank you for the pointers. All of the coupe thread has been inactive for many year. I was excited to see one that is on going right now so I thought I could join and exchange some information because i've been working in the dark by my own.
I will open my own thread refer to that from now on.
Jerkin I do apologize again and thanks for being so generous!

Interesting!! I may look into these later on~

As of today I have decided to bring my car to Evosports for my tuning since they have everything in house... we set out a goal for 230whp and should begin next week after my midterms >_<

Don't trip. If you start a new thread it'll be just more work for me to go back between this one and that. Since we are simply contributing to the success of the same mod, I dont see why that's an issue. So continue to share your findings with me

P.s. time and time again people keep telling me to get a bigger supercharger... Is that even possible for our coupes? And Todd, what do you think about that inter cooler?

Seat update. So I didn't get the brides... Got some F1 spec seats instead because they were more comfy to me.

Even a larger breakthrough has occurred last night. BRACKETS!!! The mighty piece of metal that f*cka every coupe owner in the a*s when he looks for aftermarket seats >.< so status racing sells two brackets for a slightly affordable price for clk seats. I got the dimensions. I was told the hole dimensions were 16.5 from left to right and 15 3/8 front to back. That's awesome! Super excited. All for $140 per bracket. That's dirt cheap compared to $379 per adapter from recaro... I'm currently asking them to shorten the slider hole dimensions to fit the ones that I currently have for a perfect fit

Damn! My recaro bracket was $150 or so, I believe, many moons ago. You would have gotten hosed. Glad you found a cheaper alternative.

Brides are well known to be very small seats (however, they do look b1tchin'). I'm not surprised that you found more comfortable seats. Are they still fixed back?

Yeah still fixed back. Cost me 400 for the pair. Will post a pic once I figure out the brackets with the guy and have them come in. I can use my modified sliders for free, but I don't feel like dealing with attaching sliders to sliders. Seems unsafe haha if only back in that age I wasn't 9 or 12 depending when you bought them lol. I CAN'T FIND MY THIRD BRAKE LIGHT COVER!!! >.< feel dumb now haha

Si!!

Sat in one at the Philly auto show; if my two cars and had a baby, that would be it. Just hoping to buy a house next year, which means I'll probably have to wait until after then to buy one. Unless the coupey doesn't cooperate, of course.
