CD changers compatability
I want to add the 6 changer in the glove box.
I see 2 Fiber Optic CD Changers
A002 820 7989 / MC3198 (what is FS $ 100 locally)
A203 820 9089 / MC3010 (what I should get)
Do they swap for say my 2002 C230K Cpe with basic cassette?
I have been all over this site, C class and audio with many search word attempts and other internet web searches... I am not convinced that they do swap, plug & play..

Just changed my head unit to a double din TV DVD pioneer and it kinda suck to have the CD changer in the glove box but unable to use it .
Will a pioneer CD changer fit the box? Or is the basic changer detacheable?

Per the seller the A 002 820 7989 MC3198 Came out of his own 1999 CLK 320 and 2002 SLK 230 when he had swapped it through them through the years.
EDIT: correct me if I am wrong please.
Here's my summary paste & stuck details off many various threads:
As I search: "Has anyone tried to use the A002 820 7989 / MC3198 instead of the
A203 820 9089 / MC3010, & is it the same easy plug & play?"
Still out to lunch if my car is pre wired with fiber optic cable or not.
I've read North American cars did come pre wired...
But I am almost convinced my era car does not need to be dealer coded.
Anyhow I see 2 Fiber Optic CD Changers with very similar model years usage, but are different models.
A002 820 7989 is MC 3198 - a little larger than the other
A203 820 9089 is MC3010 - a scootch smaller, side-to-side (about 1/4")
and I think someone reported it as having better anti-skip resistance.
Thus changer often found in glove box.
The bracket part number is __________________ ?
And I believe the 6 disks magazine part number is 002 820 62 89
The 3rd generation for MY 2005 up is the
A220-827-4642 Model number MC-3330
Fits 2005 to 2006 C-class W203 body
CLK 2005 up to 2006 W209 body
New S class and CL 2004 up to 2005, and 2005 SL
For the 2005+ C class I believe
The cd changer part number is MC3330 and the Part # is A 220 827 46 42.
The bracket part number is A203 820 07 14 WT519.
The 6 disks magazine part number is 002 820 62 89 ???
