Nowhere ...Fast
Dude, your wheels are magnificent on your coupe! Dont paint them!

I think that the bronze would look better.
By the way, might want to consider H&R, Eibach, or a mix front/rear swaybars. The AMGS are dental floss by comparison.

Thanks! I'm considering to paint the 2007 sports.. they're in need of refinishing anyway... so i'll probably do a dark bronze with them or gunmetal.
I'm really liking the silver on the cls wheels... so i'm keeping it for now.
i have been considering upgrading... i see some people mix up front and rears to max out thickness...
what are you running?

OK, jokes aside, I've got the Eibach ones. A friend and I installed both my Eibachs and his AMGs at the same time, and it was pretty big of a difference.
My mod list is much longer than it should be - I could have had an M3 instead (though I initially didn't want to do too much - famous last words).
The mod list will be lengthened shortly, as my car should be done by the end of the week; $2k-2.5 k in bodywork to remove rust. The damn support under the engine is rusting as well, which is a very scary proposition. He's doing what he can short of removing it and welding in a new piece - I figure I have 2-3 years til the car will be too unsafe to drive in this condition. So I'll probably be forced into something else by at least that time. Probably an Abarth. mmm!

Woo! The wheels are mounted! Lookin good :P AND you're running w/ 235 up front! Did you use 3mm spacers up front? Any excessive rubbing up there while turning? I need to get some 235s!

C350 Coupe (CL203)
Funny, i was thinking i'd like your us ones lol
those original wheels you had too are really good, they have a nice aggressive appearance, and were pretty much my favourate stock sport/amg edition wheels, especially the dish on the rear ones, but the fronts tend to like grabbing kerbs a bit

C350 Coupe (CL203)
what size were the wheels, width and offset .... i didn't realise you could go to 235 up front without clearance issues
(those CLS wheels look ok, yet when i saw CoupeCrazy03's test fit i didn't like them .... maybe different sizes and now it looks more "correct" .... anyway, looks good, gunmetal sections on them might look good, not sure about 100% gunmetal)

I actually don't mind the orange in the impact strip... it seems almost standard for people on the forum to either change the orange to clear, paint over it, or go euro... but I don't mind it. But if you wanted to trade... I wouldn't refuse
I actually still have those wheels and am planning on refinishing them. They are my favorite stock/sport wheels and worth keeping around.
cheers

One thing I do like... is that they're really easy to clean.
I actually like the CLS wheels in silver (matches my roof rack)... and plan to do the 2007 sports in gunmetal. I've always been a fan of multispoke wheels in dark colors.

Even when I didnt have spacers, I rubbed a little bit during lock-to-lock and even now after rolling the fender lining back a bunch and adding the spacers, i still rub quite a bit more! The coupe must have more space up in the front wheel well... The rubbing is worth it, and ill likely get 235s as my next set of front tires :x haha!
Hope you're enjoying the new look - post some more pix already!

thanks i appreciate it!... have you posted pics of your new wheels yet?
I think my front is slightly higher than yours... and my rear about the same. If I ever get around to installing the camber kit, I'm going to raise the rear to balance the front (I rub whenever anything substantial is on my trunk).
I FINALLY got a new camera (http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/OlympusXZ1/), since I needed one for my vacation next week, but still am figuring out how to use the manual controls. Once I get a handle on it and make some more upgrades/mods I'll take a few snaps. Unfortunately, no time until mid-August.
