What is the price. Im a no no on Nexen, friend had some and they wore out quick... Look into the Hankook V12 EVO. Good price and good reviews or these tires. Think Karo is on them.

I'm currently running N3000's which came with the car when I bought it. They'll be going in to their last summer now, and will probably be done this fall at about 40k km.
Pros: Quiet, smooth, decent lifespan, good dry traction, cool looking tread, cheap
Cons: Poor wet traction - always fishtailing around corners
I have no reference for comparison since I've had no other tires on this car, but I like everything about the N3000's except the wet traction. This factor is enough to have me looking for something different when I finish wearing these out this summer.

I got mine with new Nexen's on it. They are nice and handle well, even in the rain (4Matic) but i am pretty sure I have a broken belt in one of them. There is a small egg on the little bit of sidewall that there is. I gotta see about getting it changed out.

My only complaint about Hankook is they can be slightly noisy, it's not enough to stay away from them, just be aware of it. I still buy 'em, cuz they're great value for the money.

I have some n3000's on my wife's IS250 with some sick 20 inch staggered wheels and for me, the life of the tire is very good. They have been on for like a year and a half and still have around 85% left. To me they are very noisy. Maybe I just have picky selective hearing.

i don't know about nexen, but Nitto's i've heard excellent things about. i know a couple of guys that have a few corvettes that they take to tracks and race, and they claim nitto is one of the best racing tires that they use a lot. i figure they should know what they're talking about seeing as they actually run the track all the time. you may also want to look into vredstein's, i hear those are excellent as well.
if you're looking for a solid street tire with good performance, i would go either michelin ps2, or continental contisport contact. of those two, michelin will last you longer though. if you're looking for all seasons, i would go for the continental extreme contact dws, they are the best all season performance tire in my opinion.

my experience with n3000s:
cons:
its noisy
hard when cold
easy to slide out when rain/gravel present
pros:
cheap
lots of meat on the tire
cool pattern
Decided to go with N3000s due to major discount and for my experimental runs on the drag strip and track. I've been purposedly trying to wear them out so I can get better grippy tires, such as Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, but it has been a chore with almost a year on these tires to wear them out.
